To disable IPX/SPX

NOTE

Do not disable this protocol if Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Me, 2000, and XP systems will be printing to the printer using IPX/SPX.

  1. Press Menu to enter the MENUS.

  2. Press HP 3550 3700 arrow down To disable IPX/SPX to highlight Configure Device.

  3. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select Configure Device.

  4. Press HP 3550 3700 arrow down To disable IPX/SPX to highlight I/O.

  5. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select I/O.

  6. Press HP 3550 3700 arrow down To disable IPX/SPX to highlight EIO 1.

  7. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select EIO 1.

  8. Press HP 3550 3700 arrow down To disable IPX/SPX to highlight IPX/SPX.

  9. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select IPX/SPX.

  10. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select ENABLE.

  11. Press HP 3550 3700 arrow down To disable IPX/SPX to highlight OFF.

  12. Press HP 3550 3700 checkmark To disable IPX/SPX to select OFF. The control panel displays a message that the setting has been saved and displays an option to re-enable IPX/SPX.

  13. Press Menu to return to the Ready state.
